Thiru. N.MUTHIAH AMBALAM Memorial27thState Level Flood-lit Inter-Collegiate Volley Ball Tournament was held in THE AMERICAN COLLEGE, Madurai from March 17-19th, 2021. More than 10 teams in the Tamilnadu participated in the state level volleyball tournament. Teams from the districts of Chennai, Pollachi, Coimbatore, Tiruchy, Ramanathapuram, Sivakasi and Madurai participated. In the league match SRM University, chennai, Pollachi STC college, Jamal Mohammed Tiruchy, and DG Vaishnav college, chennai teams played. In this, Jamal Mohammed College Tiruchy and DG Vaishnav college secured 3rd and 4th place. In the final, SRM University, chennai beat STC, Pollachiby 3-2and lift the Thiru. N.MUTHIAH AMBALAM Memorial trophy and cash award of Rs. 20,000 and STC, Pollachi won the runners cup Thiru. Rajadurai Ambalam Trophy and cash award of Rs. 10,000.
In the prize distribution function started with the prayer byRev.John Jeya Kamaraj.Dr.M.Davamani Christober, Principal & Secretary, welcomed the gathering. Mr.M.Baskaran, Deputy Commissioner of Police Headquarters, Tallakulam was the guest of honour. He congratulated the winners of the trophy and gave away the prizes and trophies to the winners. He also advised everyone to concentrate on their physical fitness to fight against illness. Dr.M.Balakrishnan, Director and Head, Dept of Physical Education proposed vote of thanks. Bursar Dr.C.Dorothy Shella, Deans, senior professors, physical directors from university and colleges, students and public witnessing the volleyball tournament.
