The academic year 2024-2025 for freshers will start with Orientation Programme:Satellite Campus:

ALL SF UG & PG – Wednesday, 26 June 2024 at 10.00 a.m. in the Assembly Hall, Chatrapatti.

Main Campus:

All Aided UG & PG and SF PG – Thursday, 27 June 2024 at 10.00 am in the Edward Nolting Hall, Goripalayam.

All Art SF UG – Friday, 28 June 2024 at 10.00 am in the Edward Nolting Hall, Goripalayam.

All Science SF UG – Friday, 28 June 2024 at 10.00 am in the Edward Nolting Hall, Goripalayam.

All students are asked to report at the respective department registration counter at the Flint Square between 8.00 a.m. and 9.45 a.m. Students who have paid the Hostel Fees are asked to report to the respective Hall immediately after their registration at the department counter.

Ensure you bring the following documents with photocopy:

  2. Mark statement
  3. student bank account linked with Aadhar
  4. Aadhar card
  5. community certificate

Cassia roxburghii

Family:  Caesalpiniaceae

Common name: Sivappukondrai, Red Cassia, Ceylon Senna,

Flowering period: June – August.

 

 

 

 

 

Description
  • Red cassia is a graceful tree with spreading, drooping branches appearing to be overweighted by its wealth of clustering orange-red blossoms.
  • The leaves are about 1 ft long and each has 15-20 pairs of oblong 2 in leaflets.
  • Red cassia produces clusters of pink, rose or orange flowers in axillary and terminal, often branched, racemes.
  • Petals are 1-1.5 cm long, oblong-obovate, hairy externally.

Uses                                                                                                                                                   

  • CassiaRoxburghii is used as an ornamental to beautify streets, avenues, parks, and gardens.
  • They are also used for treating skin diseases such as ring worm, scabies, eczema and wounds.
