Description

  • Ceylon Tea is a large evergreen tree, upto 5 meters high.
  • Leaves are simple, opposite, 3-16 x 1.5-7.5 cm
  • Inflorescence is an axillary dichotomous cyme; Flower white or greenish yellow.

Uses

  • Roots and leaves of cassineglauca are used in treating cough with phlegm, swellings and menstrual disorders.
  • The plant paste is used on skin wounds and cuts and bark powder is used in treating rheumatism
