The academic year 2024-2025 for freshers will start with Orientation Programme:Satellite Campus:

ALL SF UG & PG – Wednesday, 26 June 2024 at 10.00 a.m. in the Assembly Hall, Chatrapatti.

Main Campus:

All Aided UG & PG and SF PG – Thursday, 27 June 2024 at 10.00 am in the Edward Nolting Hall, Goripalayam.

All Art SF UG – Friday, 28 June 2024 at 10.00 am in the Edward Nolting Hall, Goripalayam.

All Science SF UG – Friday, 28 June 2024 at 10.00 am in the Edward Nolting Hall, Goripalayam.

All students are asked to report at the respective department registration counter at the Flint Square between 8.00 a.m. and 9.45 a.m. Students who have paid the Hostel Fees are asked to report to the respective Hall immediately after their registration at the department counter.

BBA MARITIME LOGISTICS – BML

HISTORY

Realising the importance of imparting skill-based education to youth and being guided by Section 22 (3) of the UGC Act – 1956 to embed apprenticeship/internship to a degree programme, The American College entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC), Chennai, a collaborating division of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) on the 22nd of October, 2020, launching an apprenticeship-based Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) Degree Programme in Maritime Logistics, affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) with the primary objective of facilitating skilling of students and young graduates to make them industry-ready and be gainfully employed at various levels in Logistics Sector. The programme is offered with the sole objective of educating/training students in the technical aspects of Logistics processes with core focus on creating managerial skills in Maritime Logistics. Hence, on-the-job-training in the form of Industry Apprenticeship under the provisions of Apprentices Act – 1961 is embedded as part of the curriculum.
