Safety Standards & Policies for Child Protection

Our Commitment to Child Safety

At The American College, the safety and well-being of children and students is our highest priority. We are committed to maintaining a secure, trusted, and responsible digital environment for all users, especially minors. Our products and services comply with global best practices and legal requirements to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

This document outlines our safety standards, controls, and enforcement mechanisms related to CSAE.

1. Policy Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

We strictly prohibit any form of content, interaction, or behavior that includes:

  • Sexual content involving minors
  • Any depiction of children in sexual activities
  • Requests for or distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Grooming or contact solicitation of minors for exploitative purposes

Violations are taken seriously and result in immediate action, including account suspension, reporting to law enforcement, and blocking of harmful content.

Our policies are informed by the following laws and frameworks:

  • Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, India
  • Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), USA
  • EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)
  • Google/Apple app store safety and anti-exploitation guidelines

We adhere to all applicable international, national, and local regulations protecting children from abuse and exploitation.


3. Content Monitoring and Detection

To ensure compliance, we employ:

  • Safety risk assessment

4. Reporting and Enforcement

Reporting Mechanisms

Users can report content or behavior that violates our safety standards directly within the app.

We respect confidentiality and prioritize rapid response to all reports.

Enforcement Actions

Upon confirmation of CSAE violations, we will:

  • Remove prohibited content
  • Suspend or terminate user accounts
  • Block access from offending devices or IPs
  • Report to appropriate authorities and law enforcement
