ALL SF UG & PG – Wednesday, 26 June 2024 at 10.00 a.m. in the Assembly Hall, Chatrapatti.

Main Campus:

All Aided UG & PG and SF PG – Thursday, 27 June 2024 at 10.00 am in the Edward Nolting Hall, Goripalayam.

All Art SF UG – Friday, 28 June 2024 at 10.00 am in the Edward Nolting Hall, Goripalayam.

All Science SF UG – Friday, 28 June 2024 at 10.00 am in the Edward Nolting Hall, Goripalayam.

All students are asked to report at the respective department registration counter at the Flint Square between 8.00 a.m. and 9.45 a.m. Students who have paid the Hostel Fees are asked to report to the respective Hall immediately after their registration at the department counter.

NAF 1201 NCC ORGANIZATION AND NATIONAL INTEGRATION

Course Description: This course aims to build knowledge about NCC organization, its structure and the defence system. The course will offer a holistic idea about National Integration Awareness which has emerged as a significant trend and associated concept pertain to disasters, environmental awareness and military leadership.

Course Outcome:

At the end of the course the students will be able to:

CO1: Recall the Concepts, Scope and Principles related to NCC.

CO2: Explain the role of NCC in National Integration process.

CO3: Make use of the skills during Disasters.

NAF 1100 NCC AIR FORCE FIELD TRAINING – I

Course Description: This course aims to equip and train the cadets with basic NCC field Training in Air Force.

Unit 1: Foot Drill – I

Basic Drill: General Word of Commands – Attention – Stand at Ease – Turning Right, Left, back and inclining at Halt, Sizing – Forming Three ranks and numbering

Unit 2: Foot Drill – II

Basic Drill: Open and Close March Order – Dressing the Squad – Saluting at halt – Slow march and halt, Falling out and Dismissing – Side Pace – Pace – Forward and to the Rear.

Unit 3: March Past – I

March Past: Length of Pace and Time of Marching – forward march and halt in quick march – Changing step.

Unit 4: March Past – II

March Past :Formation of Squad – Squad Drill – Individual Word of Command

Unit 5: March Past – III

Turing on the march – wheeling, saluting on the march, marching time

NAF 2100 NCC AIR FORCE FIELD TRAINING – II

Course Description:This course aims to equip and train the cadets with rifle in NCC Air Force field Training.

Unit 1: Rifle Drill Training- I

Basic Drill with Arms: General Word of Commands – Attention – Stand at Ease – Stand Easy – Getting on Parade with Rifle and Dressing at the Order – Dismissing and Falling out.

Unit 2: Rifle Drill Training – II

Basic Drill with Arms: Ground and Take up Arms – Shoulder and Present from the Order & vice versa – Saluting at halt and on March

Unit 3: Rifle Drill Training – III

Basic Drill with Arms: Short and Long trails from the Order & vice versa – Examining the Arms and their parts.

Unit 4: Special Training – I

Special Training: Independence Day – Republic Day – NCC Day Celebrations –– Paratroopers Camp.

Unit 5: Special Training – II

Camps: Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) – Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC) – Republic Camp (RD) – National Integration Camps -Mountaineering Camp – Adventure Camps.

NAF 3100 NCC AIR FORCE FIELD TRAINING – III

Course Description:This course aims to equip and train the cadets with in NCC Air Force field special Training.

Unit 1: Ceremonial Drill (CD)

Ceremonial Drill: Guard Mounting – Guard of Honour

 Unit 2: Weapon Training – I

Weapons: Introduction to .22mm Rifle – Characteristics of .22mm rifle; Handling: Stripping – Assembling – Care and Cleaning – Sight Setting.

Unit 3: Weapon Training – II

Weapon Training: Loading/Unloading and Bolt Manipulation – Lying Position – Hold Trigger Control & Firing a Shot – Short Range Firing – Safety Precautions.

Unit 4: Weapon Training – III

Weapon Training: Range Procedure and Theory of Group; Characteristics of 7.62mm Rifle – SLR and 5.56mm INSAS

Unit 5: Map Reading

Maps: Finding North – Setting a Map – Finding won position – Map to ground and Ground to Map- Night Watch.
