NCC AIRWING – REPORT

NCC Air Wing Activities for the year 2020-21

1.Yoga day celebration 2021

The NCC Air Wing Unit of the American College, Madurai observed the International Yoga Day 2021 virtually on 21.06.2021 in order to create an awareness on Enhancing the Function of Lungs through Yoga Practice to Fight Against the Deadly infections of COVID -19. As per the instruction from the Commanding Office, the cadets were instructed to perform the Yoga and Photograph the same. Moreover, Cadets parents were also participated willingly. A total of 33 cadets in which 18 SD and 15SW, enthusiastically participated, contributed with fullest cooperation and uploaded their Performa of the above same in the NCC digital forum.

2.Ek Bharat Shrestra Bharat Saptah XII Phase:

  • Flight Cadet S. Keren Nesarani of 20ENS have participated in EBSB XII phase form

04\11\2021 to 09\11\2021 through online mode. Organised by 11TNSIGCOYNCC,Salem.

3.Basic Leadership Camp(BLC):

  • Flight Cadet M Babu & Flight Cadet R Rajeswari Boi of 20HIS and 20PSY have participated in Basic Leadership Camp 09\11\2021 to 18\11\2021 Held at Hindustan college engineering and Technology Coimbatore, Conducted by 2 TN Air SQN,Coimbatore.
  1. Advance Leadership Camp(BLC):
  • Flight cadet M Babu , Flight Cadet R Rajeswari Boi of 20HIS and  20PSY have participated in BLC 25\12\2021 to 04\12\2021 Held at Hindustan college engineering and Technology Coimbatore . Conducted by 2 TN Bty NCC,Coimbatore.

5.Combined Annual Training Camp(CATC):

  • A total of 15 woman cadets have participated in Combined Annual Training Camp 06/12/2021 to 15/12/2021. Held at Idayapatti Madurai .Conducted by 8 TN Battalion NCC Kumbakonam.

6.Annual day Cadre Camp :

  • A total of 17 men cadet have participated in Annual day Cadre camp 03\01\2022 to 06\01\2022. Held at PMIST vallam. Conducted By 3TN Air Sqn(tech),Trichy.
  1. Online Cultural Event:

The NCC Air Wing unit of The American College, Madurai organized a ‘Cultural Celebration Event’ on the theme “Ek Bharat Shresrta Bharat: Towards Unity in Diversity” as a part of 25th National Youth Festival on 15th January, 2022 through online mode via Google meet. The cadets contributed their fullest within a short period of time for the successful conduct of the program. They took part in various cultural programmes such as Bharatnatyam, Drawings (Cultural Heritage of Madurai), Silambaatam, Karate, Slogans Writing on the title Unity in Diversity, Folk Dance, Pyramid Formation, and Integration Pledge with sheer responsibility.

  1. The NCC Airwing unit of our college participated in the 70th republic day celebration and be part on the drill along with NCC Army and Navy units on 26thJanuary 2021. The Principal & Secretary of the College, Dr. M. Davamani Christober hoisted the national flag. A total of 35 cadets participated in the event.

9.The NCC Air Wing Unit of our college participated in the 74th Independence  Day Celebrated and be part on the drill along with NCC Army and Navy units on 15th August 2021. The Principal & Secretary of the College, Dr. M. Davamani Christober hoisted the national flag. A total of 35 cadets participated in the event.
