NCC NAVY – AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS

Academic Achievements of NCC NAVY 2015-16

The year 2015-16 again saw the familiar trend in the achievements by our NCC NAVY cadets at the national level competition and camps. 

Our Senior cadet captain D. Mageswaran ( 13 CHE 21) was selected for the Youth Exchange Programme and he travelled to neighboring countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Bangaladesh in an Indian Navy Ship along with 12 other cadets from other parts of the country.

 Two of our cadets have participated in the All India Nausainik camp held at Karwar, Karnataka representing Tamil Nadu Directorate.  The participants are

Academic Achievements of NCC NAVY 2016-17

The year 2016-17 has brought back our old glory and again saw the familiar trend in the achievements by our NCC NAVY cadets at the national level competition and camps. 

Our cadet captain S. Devasenapathy  (14 MAT 16) was selected for the Youth Exchange Programme and he sailed to neighboring countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Bangaladesh along with Indian Navy with 12 other cadets selected from other parts of the country.

 Two of our cadets have participated in the Republic Day camp held at New Delhi representing Tamil Nadu Directorate out of which F. Maria Christopher (15 TAM 31) has won Gold medal in the ship model competition and A. C. P. Prashanth (15 BOT 29) has won a place in Republic Camp for the Prime Minister Rally that gave Guard of honour to our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi

Petty Officer Cadet K. Gowtham (14 CHE 25) was selected for the Officer Training Academy at Kamptee and he has undergone vigorous training to qualify for the selection of officers in Indian defense forces.

Following cadets have been selected and undergone Scuba training at Chennai. They are

Petty officer cadet B. Senthil Kumar (14 CHE 61) was selected for the National Integration camp held at Raipur in December, 2016

Two of our cadets (i) K. Gowtham (14 CHE 25) and (ii) P. Palpandi (14 BOT 30) have participated in the Annual Leadership Camp held at Coimbatore in November 2016.

Academic achievements of NCC NAVY 2017-18

This year three of our cadets have participated in the Republic Day camp held at Chennai representing Madurai Group for the Chief Minister Rally that gave Guard of honor to our honourable Governor Banvarilal Purohit at Chennai in January 2018

One of our cadets J. Yuvaraj  (15CHE71) had undergone sea training camp at Vizag in December 2017 and he was trained in INS Magar of Indian Navy.

Academic Achievements of NCC Navy 2020-2021

                                 The following NCC Naval Cadets of our college represented the Tamilnadu & Andaman Nicobar Directorate in various programmes

  • Cadets ALFRED VICTOR-19PHY04 and S. SAMUEL RAJ -19CHE61 participated in the “Youth Exchange Programme” camp held at Chennai from 19-01-2021 to 21-01-2021.
  • Cadet D.Gnanedran-19MAT13participated the Chief Ministers Rally camp held at Chennai from 18-01-2021 to 23-01 -2021.
  • Cadets Gokul Prasanth 18ZOO13,V.Kaliraja-18PHY22 and M.Samson-18ZOO34 participated in the Online EBSB SAPTAH from 15-08-2021 to 20 -08- 2020
  • Care Taker Dr.T.Selvakumar participated in the 13 day Pre-PRCN ONLINE ORIENTATION COURSE FOR CTOs conducted by Coimbatore Group (12 (TN) Bn NCC) from 30 Nov 2020 to 12 Dec 2020.
  • 2 TN NCC Naval Unit and our college conducted a  National Level online Quiz Competition  for “World Population Day “ from 10-7-2020 to 12-07-2020.1520 members participated and received the certificates
  • NSS volunteers G.Misma-19CHS31 (Unit-No 5) and T.Alriyas -19PSY05 (Unit No7) have been selected for the Chief Minister Rally to be held at Chennai as part of the Republic Day Celebrations.
